1.     Rabies vaccination

Central government: Laws concerning rabies vaccination was formulated according to the principle of prevention of contagious diseases in Article 13 of the “Statute for Prevention and Control of Infectious Animal Diseases (in English)”

Local governments (Taipei City as an example): veterinary services in local governments created their administrative regulations/orders based on the abovementioned Article 13. 2.     Pet registration

“The Pet Registration Administrative Regulation (PRAR) (in Chinese, no English version)” (https://law.moj.gov.tw/LawClass/LawAll.aspx?pcode=M0060029) was formulated according to the principle of dog population control in Article 14 of the “Animal Protection Act (in English)” (https://law.moj.gov.tw/ENG/LawClass/LawAll.aspx?pcode=M0060027)
